Synchrony
Synchrony training aims to promote a mental state of calm focus, which is similar in effect as mindfulness exercises and can even be a great complement to meditation.
There are three frequency options at which we train Synchrony – gamma, or 40Hz; alpha, or 10Hz; and Infra-Low or 0.05Hz.
Alpha waves are generally associated with a calm, non-thinking state of mind. During meditation, alpha waves are produced. Theta waves are produced when the mind is more relaxed and on the verge of sleep. Theta waves help transition into Delta waves for deep sleep. Beta waves are produced while alert and awake. During the transition from Beta (awake) to Alpha (relaxed) to Theta (deeply relaxed) and while the brain is held in this relaxed pattern with neurofeedback, a state of mind is created that mixes reality with the subconscious. As a result, the subconscious mind is turned up while the conscious mind is turned down. '
Compared to the Alpha-Theta training, Synchrony training is done with your eyes open. It is complemented with meditative visual and auditory feedback.
This method of Neurofeedback is beneficial for those who require support with unresolved trauma, support with addictions or phobias, and for patients who need help to achieve a clear, calm mental state.
Advantages:
Extends the awake-state training to the area of resting-state rhythms
Symptoms can be addressed on a different level of consciousness
Provides the patient with the ability to do eyes open training
Relaxing landscapes support the meditation
